Closing of the Businesspeople’s Conference in Sakhnin

“The Stock Exchange as a Lever for the Growth of Arab Companies”

The business conference in Sakhnin, organized by the Arab Economic Forum in collaboration with the Stock Exchange, the Securities Authority, and Deloitte – the world’s largest professional services firm, employing over 263,000 people – was a resounding success. The event featured prominent representatives, including Mr. Muhammad Hibi from Deloitte, professionals from FISCHER (FBC & Co.), and specialists in company management.

Dr. Sami Miaari and Dr. Maha Karkabi Sabbah moderated the conference, which was held at the Veranda Restaurant in Sakhnin. This unique gathering brought together industry professionals with diverse expertise from the Arab community, aiming to foster partnerships that will advance the Arab economy across multiple sectors.

The Mayor of Sakhnin, Dr. Safuat Abu Riya, inaugurated the event with a welcoming address, encouraging business leaders to invest in the city and highlighting its potential as a fertile ground for economic growth. Additional speakers included Nir Zilensky, co-director and founder of the Organization of Administrative Councils in Israeli Companies, and Mr. Nabil Tutari, Director of Arab Community Activities at Hapoalim Bank.

Mr. Itai Ben Zaev, General Manager of the Stock Exchange, delivered a keynote lecture titled “The Stock Exchange as a Lever for the Growth of Arab Companies.” Following his address, auditor Muhammad Hibi, a member of the Forum’s board of directors and co-director of the Deloitte office in Nazareth, presented a talk titled “From a Family Company to a Public Company.” This was succeeded by a lecture from lawyer Shawni Al-Bak of FISCHER (FBC & Co.), focusing on managing companies in public partnerships.

Mrs. Anat Joata, Head of the Securities Authority, discussed the role of the stock market in creating value. The conference concluded with an interactive discussion, during which participants posed questions to the speakers, shedding light on key issues faced by Arab business leaders.
